Raghav Chadha, the Aam Aadmi Party’s Punjab affairs co-incharge, claimed on Friday that some persons tried to disrupt the atmosphere in Punjab every time before the polls in order to gain political benefit by instilling fear and terror among the people.
Chadha stated in a statement that there were incidences of sacrilege and bomb blasts shortly before the 2017 polls, but the Congress government failed to prosecute the perpetrators. Anti-Punjab elements, he added, are carrying out episodes of sacrilege of sacred scriptures and bomb blasts this time to create a climate of fear and panic.
“In such circumstances, Punjab requires a strong government that would offer security to its citizens.” “The current Congress administration is failing because they (Congressmen) are busy fighting among themselves, and the people of Punjab are paying the brunt,” he continued, stating that only the AAP can provide Punjab with a stable, honest, and strong government.
