K Chandrasekhar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, has stated that he will fight for the development of Dalits in the state. Dalit Bandhu is a war similar to the Telangana movement, he remarked, and it would serve as a lesson to the entire country.
He urged people to come forward to help the Dalits achieve economic and social growth and to end discrimination against them.
At the Karimnagar district Collectorate, KCR attended a high-level review meeting on the execution of the Telangana Dalit Bandhu Scheme.
“I would struggle for the comprehensive development of Dalits until the last drop of my blood,” KCR stated at the event. It’s similar to how I battled for my own statehood. I will fight for Dalit Bandhu success in the same way. The moment has arrived to put in place an action plan for Dalit development, which I have been considering for some time. I implemented the Dalit Chaitanya Jyothi programme and fought for the development and growth of Dalits when I was MLA of Siddipet. The Dalit Bandhu Scheme should have started last year, but it was postponed because to Corona.”
He stated that the strategy will serve as a lesson for the entire country. “The Dalita Bandhu Maha Yagna is off to a good start. The plight of Dalits across the country is appalling. At the very least, the country’s economic and social discrimination against Dalits should be over. Governments that are committed to the development of Dalits are needed “Added he.
According to the complete family survey, the State has 17 lakh Dalit families with 75 lakh persons, accounting for 18% of the total population.
“The Dalit community is expanding. We will also endeavour to improve the reservation percentage in the future “According to the Chief Minister.
He urged Dalit intellectuals to visit communities, meet every Dalit family, speak with them, and learn what they require.
According to the CM, the state received investments of Rs 2.20 lakh crore, which resulted in the creation of 15 lakh jobs.
Similarly, a Rs 1.75 lakh crore investment in Dalits will provide employment to lakhs of Dalits through Dalit Bandhu.
Under the guidance of the district collector, Dalit Bandhu committees would be constituted at the village, mandal, Assembly segment, district, and state levels to assist the supportive framework, according to the CM.
The Chief Minister, who was reviewing the Dalit Bandhu Pilot project in Huzurabad, requested that officials conduct a census of Dalit families to determine their true living conditions.
The CM further advised officials to assist the recipients in opening an unique Telangana Dalit Bandhu Bank account, recommending that they seek assistance from bankers in this regard.
He also requested that they tag the Dalit Bandhu account, watch the development, and make changes as needed.
The CM also recommended staff to communicate to recipients in their own tongue rather than official jargon to make it easier for them to grasp.
