Fromer UP CM Akhilesh Yadav wonders “What does Yogi Adityanath do at 4 am”

When asked if he was as “hardworking” as Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Samajwadi Party supremo Akhliesh Yadav wondered what the CM did at 4 a.m.

“What makes you think he gets up at 4 a.m.? Even my family claims that I get up around 3:30 a.m. What exactly is this? At 3:30 a.m., I get up. I’m curious as to what he does after waking up at 4 a.m “Speaking at a Panchayat Aaj Tak session on Friday, Akhliesh Yadav said.

The former Uttar Pradesh chief minister told the gathering that he, too, practises Yoga, meditates, and prays at 3:30 a.m., much like Yogi Adityanath.

The highlight of the event was Akhilesh Yadav’s wicked laughter when asked if he did all of this while laying in bed.

Akhilesh Yadav, when asked if the Yogi Adityanath-led government of Uttar Pradesh was able to manage the Covid crisis before it became a disaster, said that during the second wave, people were left to fend for themselves because the state government was unable to provide essential drugs, beds, and oxygen to the patients.

He went on to explain that when the Covid-19 outbreak initially hit the state in March of last year, the Uttar Pradesh government was unable to handle it. He chastised the Yogi government for its handling of the migrant exodus, which saw hundreds of migrant workers walk hundreds of miles to their hometowns after the virus’s spread was curtailed by a statewide lockdown.

“The migrant workers walked kilometres to their homes. Over 90 migrants died while walking back to their homes. You [the UP government] formed a crisis management team, but what did it accomplish? Families that have lost members of their family are still grieving. Why is it that the government is unable to give medicines, beds, and oxygen? “According to Akhilesh Yadav.

Akhilesh Yadav slammed the BJP government for hammering “taali and thaali” during the Janata Curfew last year to honour people who were at the forefront of the coronavirus fight.
