In Karnataka, dissent is on the rise. BJP CM Bommai Attempts to Calm Disgruntled Minister After Portfolio Allocation

Unhappy turncoat ML As continue to haunt the BJP government in Karnataka, days after portfolio allocation was done.  After MTB Nagaraj, MLA Anand Singh fueled rumours by refusing to enter his Vidhana Soudha office for four days in a row. Singh rushed to Bengaluru on Wednesday for an emergency meeting with former Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa.

The ‘MLA office’ board was removed from outside Singh’s office in his constituency – Hosapete — late Tuesday night, fueling suspicions about his resignation.

Anand Singh is one of the 29 ministers in Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai’s freshly constituted government. Singh is the current Minister of Ecology, Environment, and Tourism. Minister for Municipal Administration, Small Scale Industries, and Public Sector Industries, N Nagaraju (MTB). Another BJP MLA, R Shankar, said he was seeking justice for the “sacrifice” he made to help this administration win power.

All three were among the 17 MLAs who defected from the Congress-JDS, resulting in the party’s demise in 2019 and the BJP’s election to power, despite the fact that it did not have an absolute majority.

Only two hours after the portfolio distribution, the MTB was the first member of the cabinet to publicly express his dissatisfaction with it. He stated on Twitter that he would make a decision on his next move soon. Nagaraju, a former Congress MLA, served in the coalition administration as the Housing Minister. He switched allegiances to the BJP and ran for the byelection on a BJP ticket, which he lost. Former Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa made him an MLC and a minister. Despite his request for a better portfolio, he was assigned the same one as Small Scale and Public Sector Industries.

Basavaraj Bommai, the Chief Minister, stated he was in contact with the unhappy MLAs and that everything was well.

“For the past three decades, Anand Singh has been a friend of mine. We are continuously in contact. I chatted with him the day before yesterday. We’ll talk later today. “Everything will be addressed once he arrives and speaks,” Bommai added, denying that Singh has resigned as an MLA.

On Wednesday, Anand Singh and cabinet berth aspirant MLA Raju Gowda met with BS Yediyurappa to express their concerns. Following that, they will meet with Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai. Meanwhile, cabinet slot contenders Ramesh Jarkiholi, CP Yogeshwar, and Renukacharya have visited BJP leaders at the state and national levels on many occasions.
