The tone in Raipur has drastically shifted when Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel returned from Delhi on Wednesday. Several Congress leaders and activists, including cabinet ministers and MLAs, had assembled at the airport to greet Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel.
Outside the airport, there was a larger crowd. Many ministers and MLAs were present at the airport, including Ravindra Choubey, Amarjit Bhagat, Brihaspat Singh, UD Minj, Gulab Kamro, and Kuldeep Juneja. Thousands of Congress, Youth Congress, and NSUI activists were also present outside the airport at the same time.
When Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel emerged, he first took greetings from the tens of thousands of employees who had gathered outside the airport, before speaking with the media. Regarding his visit to Delhi, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that he met Rahul Gandhi in Delhi yesterday, where they discussed Chhattisgarh’s plans, development, and he was briefed on the state’s situation.
At the same time, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel remarked that the BJP was in power from 2003 to 2018, but that people had lost faith in the party. The 15-year-old administration was reduced to 14 seats at that time.
“Sonia ji and Rahul ji handed the administration over to a farmer like me; this government belongs to the farmer, to the labourers, and to the 2.80 crore people who live here. The government is working for everyone’s benefit. Sonia ji and Rahul ji have entrusted me with the responsibility of the people of Chhattisgarh; as I previously stated, they have entrusted me with the responsibility of the administration here, and I will quit the day they order. No one should have any doubts about this. Those who are humming a two-and-a-half-year tune are attempting to destabilise the government, according to the CM.
He stated that nothing is left following the state in charge of PL Punia’s comment on the matter. It’s important noting that, following his meeting with Rahul Gandhi yesterday, Punia stated unequivocally that there was no conversation or meeting about the two-and-a-half-year term in front of Rahul-Sonia ji.
