Despite the fact that the ‘Twilight’ series was released almost a decade ago, it remains popular today. It follows the lives of Bella Swan, a 17-year-old who comes to Forks, Washington, to live with her father. She is intrigued to Edward, a mystery classmate who consistently pushes her away. Even though Edward acknowledges that he and his family are vampires, neither of them can resist their attraction to each other. When Edward’s enemy comes to town and sets his eyes on Bella, their romance puts her in danger.
Stephenie Meyer, the author of the ‘Twilight’ series of books, has posted a blog post she wrote in 2007. Her original actor and actress options for the title characters in the movie are included in the post. “My ideas on the film matter to no one,” she said on her blog. I don’t have any say in what happens in the movie. No one will ask me who I believe should play Bella in Twilight.”
Kristen Stewart was Bella and Robert Pattinson played Edward in Twilight, although they were not Stephenie’s choices. Emily Browning had been her first choice to play Bella Swan. Stephenie wrote, “Right now, my favourite pick is Emily Browning, of Lemony Snicket’s renown.” Kristen Stewart, on the other hand, was cast in the part. She went on to say, “The only actor I’ve ever seen who comes close to pulling off Edward Cullen is Henry Cavill.” However, Robert Pattinson was cast in the role. Charlie Hunnam was her first choice for Carlisle Cullen. “It was because of his work as the title character in Nicholas Nickleby that this actor was able to acquire such a hold on me.
In that film, he was pretty much Carlisle.” Stephenie commented, “The only actress who comes to mind right away is Rachel Leigh Cook.” Ashley Greene portrayed Alice. “I wasn’t able to find an actor who resembled Rosalie, but I did discover a model…Joanna Krupa.” And, after all, don’t all models aspire to be actresses?” she enquired. Nikki Reed was cast in the role in the end. She wanted Daniel Cudmore to play Emmett, but Kellan Lutz was cast instead.
