Cyclones, wars, famines, floods come and go, but the world’s largest chariot
procession rolls on like a powerful force, overwhelming all obstacles in its way. The
wheels become the path and the journey becomes the destination. This spiritual
journey has continued unbroken since time immemorial amid harshest of conditions
including the Islamist and later the British opperation. But it is 2020, something has
changed and the supreme institution devoted to uphold justice has decided, with its
sheer intellectual ego, that this grand tradition has a little value. Perhaps this is the
british hangover of the Judiciary or misplaced sense of self-importance, I leave it to
you to decide.
But I strongly feel that without discussing the reasoning behind the court’s
thought process behind this issue we will not be doing any justice. Citing the
COVID-19 pandemic and the possible spread of it due to the Yatra the court
observed- “Lord Jagannath will not forgive us if we allow the yatra,” said the court,
while passing its order halting the juggernaut. And the court may have been right to
do so, but a closer look at the issue reveals another story, a story that is shocking
and let’s agree to say questionable. When you look at the covid data, you find
odisha as a state with lowest number of covid patients, out of all the hotspots in
India Puri is not one. To be fair Puri has performed extremely well when you
compare it with the cities of comparable population and density.
Keeping all this in mind, the question remains why such a step was taken?
Was it a case of misplaced priorities or the sheer hate for Hindu Traditions? Look
closely and you will observe a pattern. Be it “Sabarimala case for Gender Equality,
Diwali crackers and Environmentalism, Kanwariya yatra and Public Inconvenience or
Holi and Consent.” The year changes, the characters change but as the famous song
from Led Zeppelin says “The song remains the same”. We can trace its history back
to the cultural colonisation of India first by the Islamists and then by the British and
then after so called independence, by the misplaced notion of Socialists of India. For
a long time now Hindu culture and traditions have been at the gunpoint. And the era
of operation of Hindus continues through a Judiciary with foreigh value system, an
Educational system that is averse to any Indic ideas and through Political and Moral
policing even after the formation of Independent India.
Now the question is what can we do about it? What can be done to break
this cycle of operation and hatred against us? And asking this question is much
more important now than ever because we have only two options left: Either
protest, oppose and smash every wrong that’s being inflicted upon us Or watch our
whole society, nation and civilization go through a slow but sure cultural genocide.
History has taught us one thing for sure, we never go down without a fight. We
never give in to Adharmi Ravans. We fight for Dharma even if the possibility of
winning is bleak.
So,
let the journey begin. Let’s smash their ignorance and their hateful hearts
who think that there is something wrong with our society. Let’s wreak havoc on
every system that interferes and tries to belittle our civilizational heritage from
outside and from inside. Let’s be united and call out their hypocrisy. Let’s make
India a truly secular state. Let’s make every misplaced notion of intellectual
self-importance pay the price with blatant and unapologetic rebuttal. Let the Karma
take its course. Let the Dharma flourish and Adharma perish. Let’s Rise As One. As
the famous Pink Floyd song says “Together we stand, Divided we fall”.
