Some evacuees from Afghanistan have tested positive for Covid-19: Govt

Over 400 evacuees from Afghanistan have been taken to India so far, according to the Union Health Ministry, with some of them testing positive for Covid-19.

Addressing an all-party meeting on the Afghan situation, Jaishankar said the government is taking a “wait and watch” approach in dealing with the Taliban, depending on the evolving situation, and later told reporters in response to a similar question that the situation should be allowed to settle down.
