“We Were Dealing With Corona And Kareena”: Aamir Khan Discusses the “Difficulties” He Faced While Filming Laal Singh Chaddha

Aamir Khan, who is now officially a social media recluse, became a trending topic after a snippet from an interview was recently published on YouTube by a fan group dedicated to the actor. In the video, the actor and his filmmaker wife Kiran Rao discuss their upcoming project Laal Singh Chaddha, a Hindi version of the 1994 film Forrest Gump, which starred Tom Hanks as the titular character. Aamir Khan is seen in the video discussing the “complications” that they faced while filming Laal Singh Chaddha. “While the rest of the world was dealing with Corona, we were dealing with Corona,” Aamir Khan recalled, “and Kareena, who was the heroine of the film, she got pregnant, another difficulty, so we’re like one more gust of wind has blown us in another direction.”

“When we took on this film, our lives became like a feather – different winds are blowing us in different directions, and we are just kind of flowing with it and we are just going to figure out where we finish up by the conclusion of the film,” the actor added.

Kareena Kapoor, who shot for the film last year while pregnant, uploaded a photo with Aamir and stated in her caption: “And all journeys must come to a close at some point. My film Laal Singh Chaddha was completed today… These are trying times… The epidemic, my pregnancy, my anxiety, yet nothing could halt the transmission with which we shot, despite all precautions.”

After the 2009 smash 3 Idiots, Laal Singh Chaddha is Aamir Khan’s second collaboration with Kareena Kapoor. Mona Singh also appears in the film. Aamir Khan Productions is the film’s producer.
