According to an official, the NIA conducted searches at the homes of three alleged members of the proscribed terrorist organisation CPI(Maoist) in the Ranchi and West Singhbhum districts of Jharkhand on Thursday. The complaint, which was filed in March at Toklo Police Station in West Singhbhum district under relevant sections of the IPC, the Explosive Substance Act, the CLA Act, and the UA(P) Act, stems from an IED blast in Lanjhi Forest Hill Area in March.
Three Jharkhand Jaguars people were killed in the bombing, and three others were seriously injured, including a CRPF ASI, said to a senior investigating agency official. On March 24, the NIA re-registered the case and resumed the investigation.
Incriminating materials, including a handwritten diary, were seized during the search, according to an NIA officer, who added that the matter is still under investigation.
