In Maharashtra, the total number of deaths caused by the Delta Plus variety has risen to five. Two deaths have been verified in Ratnagiri, as well as one each in Mumbai, Beed, and Raigad.
All of the victims were above the age of 65 and suffered from co-morbidities. Two of the five were fully vaccinated, while the other two had only had one dosage. According to the state health agency, there is no indication that one person received immunizations.
To date, Maharashtra has documented 66 occurrences of the Delta Plus variety. On Friday, the state announced a fresh instance. The patient, on the other hand, has made a full recovery.
On August 8, the number of cases had risen to 45. Seven of the state’s 20 news instances are in Mumbai, three in Pune, and the remainder in six other districts.
With 13 cases of the Delta variety, Jalgaon district tops the list, followed by 12 cases in Ratnagiri district and 11 cases in Mumbai.
In Maharashtra, there were 66 instances reported. Men were diagnosed in 32 cases, while women were diagnosed in the remaining cases. Seven of the patients were under the age of eighteen.
