B L Santosh, the BJP’s national general secretary, has urged the party’s cadre in Jammu and Kashmir to prepare for the next assembly elections. Santosh made this point during a meeting of former MLAs, MLCs, and office-bearers at the party’s headquarters here.
He stated that following the delimitation commission’s recommendations, the next stage would be elections, and that we must prepare to contest and win by a landslide. Santosh claimed that during the Covid pandemic, BJP members were on the ground 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to assist people in various ways. He stated that the pandemic can only be halted by concerted efforts, and that party activists at all levels are doing their utmost to assist those in need.
“It is only in the BJP that an activist may rise to the top of the party.” He stated that each of us is merely a keeper of a tradition and not a boss. Santosh emphasised the formation of booth committees and the proper handling of the party’s programmes at that level.
